Ecole du Patrimoine Africain
EPA, which has the status of an international organization, is located in Porto-Novo, Benin. It is a postgraduate university institution, specializing in the preservation and promotion of both tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
THE SCHOOL’S MISSION
The School's mission is first in the conservation, management and mediation of African museums. EPA then diversified its activities by targeting libraries and archives, then immovable and intangible cultural heritage.
- Strengthen the network of African professionals able to ensure the conservation and enhancement of cultural heritage.
- Put in place programs for the discovery and reappropriation of cultural heritage for African audiences.
- Promote socio-economic development projects that integrate the safeguarding and enhancement of cultural heritage.
- Contribute to the publishing and dissemination of specialized publications on African cultural heritage.
